A great weather forecast, so I decided on a trip around the Kentmere Horseshoe; one of my personal favourites 🙂
One of the notable things about this particular circuit is the gentle climb (if you go the usual clockwise route). Probably one of the easiest assents to 700 meters in The Lakes.
The route itself is fairly straightforward, with some easy scrambling. Nothing too technical, and easy enough navigation assuming the clag isn’t down! The shelter at the summit of Nan Bield Pass is a great place to stop for lunch.
Great views and some wonderful fells makes this a must-do for any Lakeland walker 🙂
