Not great weather today, but I ventured out anyway. Quite a bit of rain early on and very windy until I got to Wandope when it calmed down a little.
Can’t really comment on the views as I spent most of the day in the cloud. The walk is fairly easy as it’s not too long and the ascent isn’t that bad either. Paths are good for the most part and there’s no scrambling.
I note that yet again I had to show a a group of four chaps where they were. They had an OS Landranger map (you really need OS Explorer) but no compass. That is pointless; if you can’t take a bearing then you shouldn’t be out there! They were between Crag Hill and Grasmoor and had got turned around 180 degrees. Anyway, I showed them the way down to Coledale Hause.
