Another decent day; it almost feels like spring now 🙂 Muncaster is a small fell out towards the Cumbrian coast, but what it lacks in stature it makes up for in views!

A couple of things to note: It’s boggy for a substantial part of the route, and cattle graze the entire fell right up to the summit. The cattle can be avoided by visiting in winter when they are kept in the sheds.

There’s nothing noteworthy about the walk itself, but even though the fell isn’t spectacular, the views, as noted above, are worth the effort. I really wouldn’t contemplate doing this when the clag’s down; no views and a boggy fell does not make for a pleasant outing!
